Thismia coronata Hrones, Dancak & Sochor
Thismia coronata is described in Dancak et al. (2020) from an unprotected area in northeastern Sarawak/Malaysia on the island of Borneo. It is only known from the type locality. T. coronata resembles T. kelabitiana for its coloration (different in details), T. goodii for the shape of the mitre. The three species are a distinct group within Thismia sect. Sarcosiphon. They share a prominent ridge at the morphological abaxial side of the connective (inner side of the connective tube), their outer tepals are wider than long, and they have three lobes at the connective apex. T. goodii, however, lacks the trichomes present at the connective lobes in T. coronata, and it has a smaler and bluish-green mitre. T. kelabitiana differs by mitre ornamentation and prominently denticulate outer tepal lobes.
