Lecanorchis javanica Blume 1856
This species was first described by Blume (1856) from West Jawa as one of the type species of Lecanorchis. It has dull brownish and violet stems, ovaries and the sepals and petals are light brown. The lip and column are white. It is growing in hilly and lower montane forests at 300-1.500 m of altitude (Smith 1908, 1915, 1918). Smith (1918) proposed L. pauciflora as well from Jawa, stating that L. pauciflora does not have a free lip and has a three lobed lip. L. pauciflora was reduced as synonym of L. javanica (Suddee et al. 2011). Szlachetko & Mytnik (2000) proposed L. seidenfadenii from an alcohol-preserved collection of Gunnar Seidenfaden. WCSP (2021) list this species as a synonym. Further synonyms included L. triloba, which was reinstated as a distinct species by Suetsugu et al. (2017) and Suetsugu & Fukunaga (2018). L. jawanica has been recorded from Jawa, Malaya and Thailand (POWO 2021).
