Sciaphila megastyla Fukuyama & Szuzuki 1936
Sciaphila megastyla, described in Fukuyama & Suzuki (1936), became synonymized to Sciaphila secundiflora by Ohashi (2000), who adopted the broad species concept of Meerendonk (1984). However, Suetsugu et al. (2019) found genetical and morphological traits to ressurect S. megastyla, with an emended description. It differs from S. secundiflora by size and, in particular, by its long style, which distinctly exceeds the carpel.
