Aphyllorchis simplex Tang & F.T.Wang 1951
This species was described by Tang & Wang (1951) from North-East Kwangtun (Guangdong), South China. It is a kin species of A. montana but has a narrow oblong lip, which is similar to the petals. A. montana has an ovate lip that is contracted at the middle into the epichile and hypochile. Chen (1978) propsed a new genus, Sinorchis, with Sinorchis simplex as its type species. Efloras (2021) lists Sinorchis as a synonym of the genus Aphyllorchis. Some authors say that A. simplex is a peloric form of A. montana.
