Thismia thaithongiana Chantanaorr. & Suddee 2018

Thismia thaithongiana was collected from the Doi Hua Mot Mountains near the Thailand-Myanmar border and is described in Chantanaorrapint & Suddee (2018). Due to its vermiform roots, the short shoots and the mitre formed by the inner tepal lobes T. thaithongiana is similar to T. americana (North America) and T. huangii (Taiwan). However, for the appandages at the mitre-forming tepals and the hairy surface of the perianth tube it separates from T. americana, whereas the bluegreen color of the flowers and stigma features distinguish it from T. huangii.
