Thismia breviappendiculata Nob. Tanaka
Thismia breviappendiculata was described by Tanaka et al. (2018) from two populations in Tanintharyi Nature Reserve in Myanmar. The species is morphologically closest to T. javanica and T. tentaculata, all of which have actinomorphic flowers, no mitre, two types of free tepals, the inner ones having filiform appendages. T. breviappendiculata, however, as the epitheton indicates, has much shorter appandages, which additionally end in a club-shaped knob. Moreover, the floral tube is white and lacks colored striation.
